“A feeling came over me that I was standing next to a giant, a giant that would not be defeated.”

I want to relay an incident that happened to myself and a good friend of mine.

We were taking a stroll in a park near my home here in Tampa.  It was a dark night and drizzling, so very few people were out.  Suddenly, out from the bushes jumped two young men.  I knew we were in for some serious trouble, and I was scared out of my wits.

My friend, Stan, however, whispered to me that he would do all the talking and cautioned me not to make any quick moves.

I did as he said because Stan was the type who could take care of himself.  Although he was in his mid-fifties, Stan had boxed while in the navy.  However, that was a long, long time ago and I wondered what Stan had in mind.

The two men approached us.  They were both over six feet tall and had an arrogant attitude.  And they had smirks on their faces.  I was really frightened.

They made no bones about what they wanted and held out their hands without saying a word.  They were asking us for money, but as I started to reach for my wallet, Stan grabbed my arm without saying anything.  Then he pointed at them.  I mean he thrust out his arm and just stood their pointing, his finger only inches away from one of the men’s eyes.

The man tried to slap Stan’s hand away from his face, but Stan’s arm didn’t budge.  I could see the smirks on their faces disappear, and I was amazed to see fear in their eyes.  Somehow Stan was overpowering them with his mind.

The two men seemed to hesitate for a moment or two.  It was eerily silent, but Stan’s gaze seemed to penetrate them, and slowly, very slowly, they started to retreat.

Afterwards, Stan explained that he learned in the Navy that if he convinced himself that he was all-powerful, he could convey that attitude to others, and in the past it had kept him out of several confrontations.

I know one thing for sure and that is during the attempted hold-up a feeling came over me that I was standing next to a giant, a giant that would not be defeated.  It was an incredible incident and I will never forget it.

“It is unnerving knowing she can see what I am envisioning.”

I work for an advertising agency as a copywriter and I want to relay my experiences with a graphics artist that never fail to astonish me.

Her name is Angel, and she is truly an angel.

The way we work it here in the office is I’m given an assignment, usually a product for which to create an ad.  I’ll write the copy than arrange a meeting with Angel so she can do the artwork.

Our mission is to create an ad or ads that people will be drawn to and remember.  When I first sit down with Angel, I am usually geared up to present her with my ideas, but most of the time she simply picks up on my thoughts and starts sketching ideas that I have in my mind.

I don’t know how she does it, but time after time she usually hits it on the mark.  She has the ability to climb inside my head, and it’s both fascinating and unnerving.

One minor problem is she is quite beautiful and sexy, but we stay careful not to get personal as our company has strict policies about “extra-curricular” activities.  The problem, of course, is sometimes I can’t take my eyes off her and she knows exactly what I’m thinking.  I mean to the last detail, if you know what I mean.

It has happened more than once when I have a vision of the two of us in a compromising position, and she has whispered in my ear, “Nice thought but forget it buster.”

Fortunately she has a good sense of humor, but it is unnerving knowing she can see what I am envisioning.  It helps in creating an advertising campaign but embarrassing when I’m thinking of “other” things.

“What Bob told me almost made my heart stop.”

I’ve been reading your weekly psychic stories for some time and wanted to tell you my true story.

It was eleven o’clock in the evening on a hot August night in the summer of 2007.  I had the TV on and was starting to doze off on the sofa when the doorbell rang.

As I approached the door, and without looking, I knew who was there.  I was so positive, I yelled out, Bob, is that you?  Now what’s so strange about that is I hadn’t seen Bob in over seven years.  He had left town in a hurry and neglected to say good-bye to even his closest friends like me.

When I opened the door, there he was.  A little bit older, a few more wrinkles, and he looked like he had lost some weight.  I invited him in, and what Bob told me almost made my heart stop.

Bob said he had just returned to town and had been thinking of me all day.  In fact, he said he was about to turn away from the door after ringing the doorbell, but he heard me call out his name.  He said he had no choice but to come in.

He said he had left town in a hurry because he was afraid he was going insane.  He said his mind was constantly filled with images, many of which would come true.  He could see an auto crash or a headline in the paper or a baseball score…days before they occurred.  And he said he could implant thoughts in the minds of others.

That’s when I knew he was telling the truth because I knew he was at the door despite not seeing him for years.

He has inner demons that he’s trying to cast out of his mind, but he says he doesn’t mind the premonitions.  It’s the other things that are cluttering his mind.  He’s in therapy now and is trying to straighten out his life.

I asked him if he could tell me what the stock market would do in advance and he said he’d think about it.

“When I asked when, he said the night before – the same time I was having dinner with Debbie.”

About two years ago, Debbie, a new teller came on the job at my local bank.  I would see her often because she was always at the business window, and I would hand over the day’s deposits.

After a while we became friendly and I asked her out.  It was something I rarely did, ask someone for a date that, if it didn’t work out, I’d still be seeing due to business.  But she was so cute, I couldn’t resist.

At first the evening went well, but then her mood began to change, not in a bad way, but I could tell something was on her mind.

She began asking probing questions about my family, and I was starting to feel a little uneasy because she was getting a bit too personal.  When she realized I was starting to hold back, she told me she sensed something was amiss and she was trying to get to the bottom of it.

She started honing in on my sister, who at that time had just moved to Florida to live with her fiancé.  Debbie said she couldn’t put her finger on it, but she felt my sister’s presence.  I asked what that meant and she explained that sometimes she picks up on someone who could be far away, and in this case it was a person whom she had never met.

I didn’t think much of it that night, but the next day I received a call from my father explaining that my sister had been rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy.  When I asked when, he said the night before – the same time I was having dinner with Debbie.

“I know this much.  He had picked my thoughts out of my head.”

The famous writer Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was born in India, and in addition to writing poetry and books, he was also a journalist.

He once wrote about an unusual experience while covering a story in the land in which he was born, India.

“I was going about my normal routine of the day when I came across an elderly man who approached me and said he could help me.  Not knowing the man, and noticing that his attire was somewhat ragged, I kept walking with the hope he would take a different route.

“But I was under the wrong assumption, and the man stuck to me like glue.  The faster I walked, the faster he walked.  “And even when I politely asked him not to follow me, he merely smiled and nodded and kept up with me, foot by foot.

“Finally, I stopped and asked him what it was he wanted.  He said I should not procrastinate and finish my book. I asked him what on earth he was talking about and he said, come on, you know.

“Then he astounded me by giving me the title.  It was the exact title of a story I had been working on for some time but had put aside because I couldn’t figure out an ending that would be reasonable and interesting.

“And, what’s more, I had told no one, absolutely no one, what the title was.   So here I was with this strange little man whom I had never met hounding me for no apparent reason, then stunning me by telling me the name of my book.

“I was astounded.   When I asked him how he could possibly have known what I was writing, he pointed to his brain and said, I know it, I just know it.  He was giggling and spitting a bit, and I’m not sure his mind was intact.

“But I know this much.  He had picked my thoughts out of my head.  Here was a mind reader of the first order.  I gave him some money and thanked him for his encouragement.

“That evening, at home and after dinner, I opened the unfinished manuscript and to my amazement, the rest of the story seemed to pop into mind.”

“It was a most unusual day and I shall never forget it.”

“All she could say was, how did I know.”

Over the past few years, I’ve had several incidents in which my premonitions or hunches forewarned me.  One of them, in fact, possibly saved my life.

When my eldest daughter went off to study in London during her junior year, she would call me every day, at least during the first month she was there.  On the day when she hadn’t called, I had a feeling that she was sick.  When I called her, I heard myself blurting out, “How’s your stomach?  Is it any better?”  All she could say was, how did I know.

My brother is in the army and one day my arm started bothering me.  I had this burning sensation and it wouldn’t go away.  When I got home I immediately called him to ask if everything was OK.  When he replied that he just had seven stitches in his arm, I wasn’t the least bit surprised.

But the vision that I had last month was the one that perhaps saved me from a terrible accident.

I was riding my bike when it started to rain.  Although I am a cautious person by nature, I found myself going a little too fast around the corner on my way home.  Suddenly, I had the feeling that I had to get off the street – and immediately!

Without knowing why, and without seeing anything up ahead that was in my path, I swerved my bike up onto a nearby sidewalk.  Then I applied my brakes and came to a complete stop.  It was raining harder now and I felt a little stupid standing there doing nothing but getting soaked.

It was then that a car in a driveway just down the street where I was headed bolted out onto the street in reverse.  The driver, a young man with no sensibilities whatsoever, could have possibly run me over had I not had that premonition.

My knees were shaking very badly as his car raced by.  He had no idea how close he came to running me over.
