“I recalled a past life of his in which he was brutally murdered in his sleep. This trauma, still locked in his subconscious, was causing him great terror of sleeping deeply.”

I am part Mayan Indian and have been psychic since birth, so my entire life has been filled with very unusual experiences.

One day, my friend Don was visiting at my home and stayed overnight. I awoke very early the next morning even though we had chatted until 2 a.m. the previous evening, and on my way to the shower, I passed by the bedroom in which he slept.

Since he had left his door open, I couldn’t help but notice that he was trembling so violently in his sleep that the entire bed was shaking.

At breakfast, I asked Don why he shook so in his sleep. He said, “I don’t know, but it has been a most difficult problem because I have never had one single good night’s rest in my lifetime.”

After his departure, I recalled a past life of his in which he was brutally murdered in his sleep. This trauma, still locked in his subconscious, was causing him great terror of sleeping deeply.

I felt that I should share this insight with him. He responded, “Justyn, you are a deranged woman!” and angrily departed. I believed I would never see him again.

Surprise! About eight weeks later, he returned to thank me, saying, “I have slept peacefully ever since you revealed my past life experience to me.”

“She knew the thought was coming from me.”

I was on a flight from Los Angeles to Tampa, Florida when I realized I had forgotten to leave the key under the front doormat for my friend Alice who was going to feed and walk the dogs.

Because she’s one of the few people who doesn’t carry a cell phone, there was no way I could call to tell her that I always hid a spare key in the shed beside the garage.  I could visualize my two collies running around the house, desperate to get outside to relieve themselves.  I could also visualize Alice’s look of disappointment and frustration at not being able to get inside the house.

The moment I got off the plane my cell phone beeped and it was Alice.  I started to apologize and explain where the extra key was hidden, and I was taken aback when she said she had found it and everything was OK.

I didn’t understand, as I had never revealed the extra key to her, but she said when she was standing in front of the door, the image of the key on a shelf in the shed kept appearing in her mind.  She said she knew the thought was coming from me, and she wasn’t the least bit surprised when she found the key precisely where she had envisioned it.

I’ve had somewhat similar experiences with my sister Jodi over the years but never with anyone else.  Even to this day, I’ll get an “instant message” from Jodi, and I’ll pick up the phone and tell her exactly what she had relayed telepathically.

“She had never seen him like this and didn’t think he was coming back.”

I don’t know if I’m psychic or not, but I’ll tell you something that happened to me a month ago that could not possibly be attributed to coincidence.

I was in my car driving to work when I suddenly had the urge to call a friend of mine, Cal, whom I hadn’t spoken to for awhile.  Cal and I had been pretty close to one another for at least twelve years, but since he remarried it seems he’s been preoccupied with his new bride.  And I don’t blame him, Nina’s a beauty inside and out.

But this day, I simply felt the need to hear his voice.  I didn’t know why, but the urge to call him was irresistible.  I punched in his number on my cell phone, switched it to “speakerphone,” and waited for him to answer.

The response wasn’t at all what I had imagined.

Nina answered and I could tell from her voice she was badly shaken.  I asked what was wrong, and she said Cal and her just had a knockdown, drag-out fight after which he stormed out of the house.

I assured her that all couples get into it once in awhile, but she said she had never seen him like this and didn’t think he was coming back.  I told her I would see what I could do.  But when I hung up I realized I didn’t have a clue as to where or how to get in touch with him.

You see, Cal is one of a vanishing breed that refuses to carry a cell phone.  He is a very fortunate guy who made his fortune early on, and he spends most of his days reading, exercising or taking in a movie.  Unless he is home, getting in touch with Cal is virtually impossible.

But as I continued driving to work, I kept having this vision of Cal sitting on a bench on a parkway overlooking the ocean.  I knew that parkway, and had a hunch he was there.  I made a U-turn to see if my vision was correct.

Five minutes later, I was parking my car when I saw the bench that was in my vision.  But no Cal.  I was surprised that I didn’t see him, and started to drive away.  But something told me to get out of the car, which I did, and I went over to the bench and sat down.

I stared at the ocean for a bit, then I felt a hand on my shoulder.  Without looking up, I said, “Cal, what the heck do you think you’re doing?  Nina is the best thing that’s ever happened to you.”

That’s how positive I was that my vision had been true.  And it was.  Cal sat down next to me, confessed he had been drinking and had blown a simple disagreement way out of proportion.

I immediately dialed his number and when Nina answered I handed the phone to Cal.  Well, the poor guy apologized for the next ten minutes.  I had to get back to work, so I urged him to go home and make up in person.

That’s my one-in-a-million psychic story.

“Without warning the man lashed out with his fist toward my face.”

I’m from a small town in central Illinois, and when my folks dropped me off at school at Northwestern University, which is located in a suburb of Chicago, I was filled with excitement and anxiety.

The dormitory was bustling with activity and everyone was getting acquainted with each other.  I felt like a fish out of water and sat in my tiny dorm room alone wondering if I had made the right choice.

Then in walked Edmond and somehow I knew my life would never be the same.  Edmond was tall and gangly and he had this strange little smile on his face.  I liked him instantly and within minutes it seemed like we had known each other forever.

If this was college, I was going to love it.  I could write an entire book about our experiences during the ensuing four years, but none was more bizarre than the one I’m about to tell.

We were walking to the library one evening, and because it was drizzling outside and cold, not too many people were out on the street.  As we were turning the corner, we were approached by three guys that didn’t look like they lived on campus.  We knew instantly they were trouble.

Only one of them spoke, and he gruffly told us to give him our money or we’d be in for it. I started to reach in my pocket, but Edmond stopped me and just shook his head.  Without warning the man lashed out with his fist toward my face, but Edmond, in a move so fast it seemed like lightning, intercepted the man’s arm with a chopping motion that struck the man’s arm down before it reached my face.  I could hear the awful sound of bone breaking and the man screamed out in pain.

The other two men started to move forward, but Edmond, in what appeared to be an almost nonchalant move, grabbed one of them by the neck and started squeezing until I thought the unfortunate guy’s eyes were going to pop out of his head.

Edmond released him, gave him a wry smile, and said run along now before I get angry.

After they left, I couldn’t believe what I had just happened.  It was as if I was part of an action adventure movie.

To this day I believe Edmond possessed strength that was not normal and that it came from within, perhaps drummed up by his psychic energy.  Somehow when Edmond needed extraordinary abilities he was able to summon them.

I have more stories to tell about this one-of-a-kind extraordinary individual and will write you again.

“I know what you’re thinking…but you shouldn’t do anything desperate.”

I’m nineteen and just started college. In my first day of class, I had a most intriguing experience.

I was sitting in my psychology class, and the instructor started talking about metaphysics, ESP, mind reading, etc.  It really wasn’t part of the class curriculum, but it was apparent that the subject fascinated him.

He explained how a person could be more receptive to the thoughts of others if we just relaxed and let our instincts take over.  As he was talking, I decided I’d give it a try.  I breathed deeply, relaxed my shoulders…and was shocked when I “heard” the thoughts of the person sitting next to me.  It was the weirdest experience.

He was thinking about how disappointed his parents would be if he did poorly in college, perhaps even flunking out.  At first I was amused by his insecurity, but then I started visualizing objects that scared me.  I saw a pistol, a knife…and then I imagined him standing on a tall bridge looking down onto raging waters.

Well, I didn’t say anything to him that day.  I didn’t know him, and I didn’t want him to think I was nuts.  After all, I was just starting out in college, living away from home for the first time, not knowing anyone…  And here I was, thinking the guy next to me was going to kill himself.  It was surreal.

During the next few lectures, I didn’t pick up on his thoughts again, and I started to convince myself that I had merely let my imagination run away with me.  But then on the fourth or fifth lecture it happened again.

This time he wasn’t sitting next to me, but I could see him sitting a few rows in front of me, and I could feel his anxiety, his panic.  When the lecture ended, I found myself walking up to him, saying hello and asking him which way he was headed after class.

Even though I was going the opposite way, I started walking with him.  And suddenly I blurted out, “I know what you’re thinking, that you’re scared and afraid you’ll disappoint your folks, but you shouldn’t do anything desperate.”

He stopped in his tracks and asked how I knew.  I could also see that he was somehow relieved of a weight that was resting on his shoulders.  I also instantly liked him.

I explained that something like this had never happened to me before, but I was certain I had picked up on his thoughts.  He confessed that everything I had said was true, that he was worried sick.

I made him promise that he wouldn’t do anything that was stupid.  He smiled and thanked me for caring about what might happen to a complete stranger.  He said I must be a good person because few others would have done what I did.

Since then, we’re become friends and it does appear we’re on the same wavelength.  He sometimes picks up on my thoughts but it doesn’t happen very often.
